Some time ago, students (namely Travis Price) in my Jazz History class came to me with a proposition; If I were to donate my time, they would dedicate their time to learning more about jazz by playing jazz. So it was done. We formed the Cape Fear Community College Jazz Ensemble.
Past Performances include: United Way Benefit Concert, (broadcast live on Surf 107.5 and Jammin' 99), at the CFCC Art Show , at UNCW Center Stage, at CFCC’s Winter Festival, Coastal Horizon's Grand Opening, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, CFCC Student Recognition Ceremony and WHQR 91.3 public radio.
